About This Site

Montgomery County booking information can begin with a custody check, a records request, or a court file, depending on the question. This private reference site organizes those official paths for people trying to understand local arrest and booking records. It does not publish a roster or a gallery of booking photographs.

The Montgomery County Record Path

New York records access is qualified by public-record, privacy, and law-enforcement rules. For a current local custody question, the starting point is the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Corrections Division and its linked VINELink search. A request for a report or a releasable photo follows the Sheriff’s FOIL process through the County Clerk’s Records Access Officer. Court status is a different record path, with New York eCourts and the appropriate clerk handling later case information.

The Montgomery County Correctional Facility does not publish a native web photo roster or a documented daily booking feed. The site therefore identifies the source that holds a type of record, explains limits on the public tools, and distinguishes county custody from state, federal, immigration, and court records. It hosts no booking photographs or official records of its own.

Information Available Here

Each record-focused page is written around the local sources that were found, rather than around a list of people.

  • The home page explains Montgomery County custody checks, booking records, court follow-up, and FOIL requests.
  • Most Wanted Fugitives separates an official wanted-list lead from a lawful warrant-check process.
  • Crime News identifies local reporting and the path from a story to the official record.
  • City pages distinguish the City of Amsterdam, Town of Amsterdam, and Village of Fonda records paths.

Limits of This Reference

This is a privately operated reference service. It is not connected to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, or any other government office.

  • We cannot confirm that someone is currently in custody or has been released.
  • We cannot release a person, post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds.
  • We cannot give legal advice or interpret a court order.
  • We cannot guarantee that an agency contact, fee, or procedure has not changed.

Only the responsible agency or court can confirm a custody status, charge, release, or record response. A booking is an accusation, not a finding of guilt.

Search-Partner Disclosure

Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers set their own results, policies, and prices. If a visitor chooses a paid partner service after using a search tool, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support its operation. That arrangement does not give this site control over a partner’s results or charges.
